Service Description

Ensures an ongoing reporting, surveillance, treatment and follow up of all reportable communicable diseases. First Nations communities report to the Northern Intertribal Health Authority. Community Health Status and Surveillance Unit, and provincial communities report to the Population Health Unit in La Ronge.

AHA Community Nurses work closely with teachers in all schools to provide information sessions on sexual wellness, healthy lifestyles, personal hygiene, and infection control throughout the school year.
