Service Description
Provides mental health counselling and/or art therapy for individuals, couples and groups (on occasion) on:
- Stress
- Self-care
- Adult survivor of abuse
- Goal setting
- Issues related to incarceration
- Self-esteem and worth issues
- Anger & emotions management
- Anxiety and mood disorders
- Generational awareness
- CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management)
- Art Therapy
- Laughter Therapy
- EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)
- Healing from the residential school experience
- Family of origin issues, grief and loss
- Approved mental health therapist with Indigenous Services Canada.
Art therapy is an option for some clients. See website for additional information.
Transportation: Close to bus routes and downtown bus terminal.
Eligibility
Adults, adolescents, children and couples. People with treaty status can qualify for free short-term crisis counselling through NIHB or counselling through IRS, MMIWG, and IDS.
