Service Description
Provides mental health counselling for individuals, couples, and groups (on occasion). Art therapy is available for clients who are interested in exploring and communicating thoughts and feelings through their art. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapy is one of the most effective therapies for people diagnosed with anxiety, trauma/complex trauma, and PTSD. Therapist also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Theory, Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy.
Helen Stirling is a registered Social Worker #0731 with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers, Registered Art Therapist, Approved Mental Health Therapist for Indigenous Services Canada, EAP/EFAP provider, Certified Laughter Leader – Expert Level Practitioner, certified Joyologist.
Eligibility
Adults, adolescents, children and couples. People with treaty status can qualify for free short-term crisis counselling through NIHB or counselling through IRS, MMIWG, and IDS.
