24/7 Overdose Prevention Hotline
Provided by: NORS (National Overdose Response Service)
Service Description
24/7 OVERDOSE PREVENTION HOTLINE: 1-888-688-6677 (Call or Text)
Offers a 24/7, bilingual, overdose prevention hotline to support individuals whenever and wherever they use drugs. Purpose of the hotline is to keep those who are using substances safe from overdose, while upholding substance users’ rights, dignity, respect and confidentiality. Run by peer support workers, volunteers, students, interns and supervisors.
NORS will co-create a safety plan with anyone who calls in. This may look like engaging a emergency community contact or dispatching local EMS (They try not to send 911 and request EMS dispatch only – never fire).
Visit the website for further information and answers to frequently asked questions.
Eligibility
Individuals who want support while taking substances.
