Service Description

Works alongside adults to help them prepare to go back to school or to find a job. Offers three different pathways which give individuals the chance to learn, explore career options, get training certificates, meet people with similar interests and work towards accomplishing personal goals.

  • Learning Pathway – learn more about yourself, explore career options, improve your workplace skills and become employment ready. 
  • Workplace Experience Pathway – four month program that provides work experience to people who have had a hard time finding or keeping a job for a long period of time. Enhances employability skills, provides support and coaching, and decreases barriers to employment.
  • Employment Transitions Pathway (only open to program participants)  provides COS (Creating Opportunities Strategy) program graduates and opportunity to stay connected to the food bank and learning center.

Eligibility

Adults 21 years of age or older with an academic level below grade 10.
