Child Care

A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 25 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. Child Care Subsidy accepted.

Goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for children and their families within the community.
Focus is on helping each child develop their personality, mind and body to their full potential, as well as providing quality care and a safe environment.
Believe each child will gain an understanding of the world around them that will help as they begin school.
Focus also includes the healthy development of the whole child – social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development.
Children, family members and Early Childhood Educators collaborate in enriching children’s learning and growth.

Programs and Activities

Play-based program.
Schedule/program allows children to make choices about activities, fostering independence.
Adaptations are made to meet the needs of individual children.
Daily schedule/program allows the interests of children to determine the learning content.
Activities may include:
- Quiet activities such as reading books, playing quietly, and colouring.
- Outside time, gym time, reading stories, free play, stations, music, or a craft – activities with a choice.
- Circle time, reading stories, talking about the children’s day and asking them questions.
