Service Description
Works with the police, assisting victims in the immediate aftermath of a crime or tragedy and throughout the criminal justice process. Services include: crisis intervention, information, support, referrals to other specialized programs and services. Provided by staff and a team of volunteer victim support workers along with an Indigenous Resource Officer to work with victims of domestic violence and other traumatic events.
The Victim Services Unit operates within the Prince Albert Police Service and is accessed through the front office.
Eligibility
Persons who have suffered physical, mental, or emotional injury. Persons who have suffered an economic loss due to criminal action.
