Organization Description

Wapiti Regional Library has 44 branch libraries and 2 Corner Library Services (paperback deposits) serving North Central Saskatchewan. The library system serves over 100 municipalities, including Indigenous communities, rural municipalities, villages, towns, and two cities and serves over 87,000 residents. 

Each branch varies in size, hours of operation, and the extent of the services offered to the public.

Branches may provide:

  • Selection of books (regular and large print), DVDs, CDs, video games, kits, sheet music and more

  • Online digital library (e-books, e-audiobooks, movies, learning programs) available 24/7

  • Various literacy programs for all ages and abilities (children, youth, adults, seniors, newcomers, people with disabilities, etc.)

  • Workshops on various topics

  • A wide variety of recreational, educational, cultural and economic programming for all ages
