Growing Young Movers

A non-profit organization moving to eliminate gaps that currently exist for underserved and marginalized populations in Regina. G.Y.M.’s intergenerational approach to mentorship employs high school students from Scott Collegiate to work with children and youth throughout the North Central community. G.Y.M. aims to build capacity upon the strengths that already exist among the young people within the community. They are moving to change societal perceptions of Indigenous youth, societal perceptions of the North Central Community, graduation rates of Indigenous youth, the employability of youth, and the number of opportunities for young people to showcase their strengths.
