Saskatchewan Wildfire Information
For the latest wildfire updates and resources – including active incidents and evacuation information – visit the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency Emergencies and Response page.
If you have evacuated from your community, you need to register yourself and your family with either the SPSA or the Canadian Red Cross (CRC), depending which organization is supporting your community.
The Canadian Red Cross, along with various partners, is providing critical assistance through lodging, food, emergency supplies, and other services to people who had to evacuate due to the wildfires. This support is offered to evacuated community members of Lac La Ronge Indian Band and Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation at the request of community leadership and through a standing agreement with Indigenous Services Canada.
Support provided by the Canadian Red Cross includes registration, reception and information, emergency accommodations, meals and personal services.
If the Canadian Red Cross (CRC) is supporting your community, register either by calling 1-800-863-6582 between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm or register in person:
– If you are in Prince Albert: you can register and access Red Cross services at the Carlton Park community club located at 3100 Dunn Drive Between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
– If you are in Saskatoon, you can register and access Red Cross services in-person by visiting the Saskatoon Inn located at 2002 Airport Drive between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
More information regarding the Canadian Red Cross wildfire response is available online.
The SPSA website lists which organization is supporting which communities. If the SPCA is supporting your community, register using the Sask Evac Web Application to receive evacuation support.
The SPSA has launched a dedicated, toll-free phone line (1-855-559-5502, available daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) to assist the public with general questions about the wildfire situation in the province.
If you have not received information about evacuation procedures from your community or how to receive emergency support such as food and shelter, or are having trouble accessing supports, call the SPSA at 1-855-559-5502, and the SPSA will assess needs as soon as possible.
