Service Description
Provides emergency food hampers to those in need. Each hamper is designed to be a three-day emergency supply of food (depending on available inventory), including canned goods, bread items and vegetables.
Additionally (subject to availability), the food bank can provide baby food/formula, diapers/pull-ups, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and pet food and supplies – contact for details.
Eligibility
Low-income individuals and families in need. Includes seniors, students and working individuals.
Application Process
Visit the food bank weekdays 1:00 - 2:30 pm
* will be asked for health cards for all members of the family and to answer a few demographic-type questions.
Hampers can also be accessed by getting a referral from an outside organization in situations where ID is an issue.
Documents Required
Any government issued identification (i.e. Health Card, Treaty Card, last year's income tax, etc.) and something with mailing address.
