Service Description
Provides:
- Language assessment, registration, and referrals to English classes (Language Instruction for Newcomers in Canada (LINC) or the Stage 1 program provided by the Government of Saskatchewan)
- Referrals to Employment Services, Settlement Counselors or Advisors, and other resources
- Resource materials, newspapers and brochures on a variety of topics including language programs, employment programs, health services, education programs, housing, city activities, maps, and ethno-cultural groups
- Access to computers/Internet, telephones, printing, copying, and faxing.
Eligibility
Newcomers arriving from outside Canada, from another Canadian province, or relocating from an Aboriginal community to settle in Southeast Saskatchewan.
