Service Description
Provides a one-time lump sum, tax-free direct maximum payment of $300,000 to the beneficiaries of first responders who have died as a result of their duties. This is a non-economic benefit for recognition of the individual’s service and sacrifice. This includes beneficiaries of first responders who have died in service, including:
- Firefighters
- Police Officers
- Paramedics
- Correctional Officers
- Parole Officers.

Eligibility
Beneficiaries of first responders who have died as a result of their duties. NOTE: First responders would include firefighters, police officers, paramedics, correctional, parole or probation officers.
