Service Description
Provides referrals, and in some cases funding, to seek counselling from psychologists that specialize in trauma needs. Available for Military, Veterans and Public Safety Personnel who are experiencing OSI (Operational Stress Injury) and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). - Counsellors and Therapists – Offers funding for a limited amount of sessions with a psychologist or counsellor if needed. Visit the website for a list of therapists.
- Practicum Therapists – OSI-CAN also works with practicum therapists who can offer timely assistance and help individuals find long-term support.
- Free Online Therapy – PSPNET is a free online, self-paced therapy resource for Canadian Public Service Personnel with an Operational Stress Injury. It teaches simple but effective strategies to manage mental health concerns. Available in English and French. Self-guided format, or with assistance from an experienced therapist.
- Psychology Today – An online resource for looking up Therapists and their qualifications.
