Make a Complaint – Respiratory Therapist

Service Description
Responds to allegations of professional misconduct and/or professional incompetence of a respiratory therapist in Saskatchewan.
- Professional Incompetence – Includes inadequate knowledge about a procedure, inability to perform the procedure, or incorrect judgment as to whether the procedure is required. This also includes failure to perform the procedure due to inadequate concern for the patient.
- Professional Misconduct – Includes conduct that harms the best interests of the public or other Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT’s), harms the RRT profession, breaches The Respiratory Therapists Act, or fails to comply with an order of the Professional Conduct Committee.

Eligibility
Anyone who wishes to file a complaint about a Respiratory Therapist.
Application Process
There are two ways to file a complaint:
1. Complete and submit a Complaint Form online.
2. Provide a written/typed statement (letter) with the following information:
- full name, address, signature of complainant.
- full name of the registered respiratory therapist in question
- detailed description of the events complained of; including dates(s), time(s) and location(s) of alleged event(s).
- any other relevant information or documents that support the complaint.
