Service Description
Employment Support Persons (Job Coaches) assist and support youth at risk in gaining job placements through the Work Experience Program at Carlton Comprehensive High School and Wesmor Community School. Engages youth in learning and development activities to develop personal and professional employment readiness knowledge, skills and attitudes, with some knowledge of certain skills. Support includes:
- Employment support and referrals,
- Training support,
- Issuing and providing transportation,
- Career pathing,
- Personal and professional knowledge and skills,
- Developing resumes,
- Completing job applications,
- Obtaining job leads,
- Assist in some safety points,
- Filling out SIN and Birth Certificate forms.
