Service Description
Intended to help lower dental costs for eligible families earning less than $90,000 per year.
- Parents/guardians may be eligible if they pay for dental care for a child under 12 years old who does not have access to a private dental plan.
- Payments depend on family net income and are tax-free. Parents/guardians can apply for a maximum of two payments per child.
Eligibility
Parents/guardians of families earning less than $90,000 per year with children under 12 years who do not have access to a private dental plan. The first benefit period for the interim Canada Dental Benefit (child received dental care between October 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023) is closed. The second benefit period for the interim Canada Dental Benefit (child received dental care between July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024). When to expect your payment: direct deposit takes up to 5 business days if you have it set up with the CRA; mailed cheque should arrive in about 10 business days.

- Spouse or common-law partner's employer's name, address, and telephone number (if applicable)
