Service Description
A participant-centered, strengths-based, parenting class offered in a group setting.
- Promotes positive parenting
- Increases parents’ understanding of children’s health, safety and behavior
- Helps parents build on the skills they have and learn new ones
- Improves parents’ self esteem and coping skills
- Increases self-help and mutual support
- Brings parents in contact with community services and resources
- Helps prevent family violence.
