Service Description
Provides employment support for newcomers, including:
- One-on-one career counseling
- One-on-One help with tests- volunteers are paired with newcomers preparing for written tests on specific subjects such as vocational training or applying for certificates related to settlement goals.
- Workshops (resume writing, job search and effective networking skills, interview preparation and how to effectively use LinkedIn)
- Classroom-based programming and individual programs
- Support to newcomers who want to start a business
- General guidance and advice for job seekers.
Additional services for job seekers include translation, notary public, over-the-phone interpretation services, client financial support services, entrepreneurial programs, job fairs and an annual Diversity Gala.
