Service Description
Provides youth (ages 7 – 15) living with type 1 diabetes the opportunity to enjoy an authentic camp experience in a medically accommodating environment with a team of professionals. Campers get the chance to meet and interact with other children and staff living with type 1 diabetes. Goals of the camp include:
- Teach independent self-management of diabetes
- Nurture lasting friendships
- Improve self-esteem
- Provide a safe, fun, and educational camp experience.
