Service Description
Trained adults mentor youth (ages five to 19) in a one-on-one or group setting to enhance their self-esteem, self-regulation and social skills. They also connect youth to supports and activities within the community.
Staff work Monday to Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm and are available to assist with the following:
- Home/school visits
- Positive role models for youth
- Transportation assistance
- Connect/build relationships with youth and their families
- Accompany youth to appointments
- Assist youth with resume building/job searching
- Assist youth in filling out forms for ID, Birth Certificates, Health Cards
- Assist youth in filling out forms for sports/recreation such as Kid Sport and Jumpstart.
Eligibility
Youth ages five to 19.
