Service Description
ADHD Coaches provide support for some of the day-to-day struggles that individuals with ADHD regularly encounter by helping clients to implement structures and routines to address their challenges.
- Ideal for individuals seeking practical strategies and support to meet daily demands.
- Coaches create a safe environment (built on a foundation of unconditional acceptance of the client paired with information and instruction about ADHD) that encourages honest and open communication.
- Coaches act as the client’s champion, reinforcing and reminding them of their natural talents and successes.
Eligibility
Adults, children, youth and professionals who may or may not have ADHD.
Clients Who Would Benefit from ADHD Coaching:
- Adults -- Challenges: difficulty with time management, organization, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining focus on long-term goals; Coaching Focus: practical strategies for managing daily tasks, setting realistic goals, and creating effective systems for organization and time management.
- Adolescents -- Challenges: struggling with academic performance, completing assignments on time, and staying focused during classes; Coaching Focus: techniques for breaking down assignments into manageable tasks, and creating structured study schedules.
- Parents of Children -- Challenges: managing their child’s behavior, creating a supportive home environment, and ensuring their child stays on track with schoolwork; Coaching Focus: parenting techniques and tools for creating a structured and supportive home environment.
- Professionals -- Challenges: balancing work responsibilities, meeting deadlines, and managing workplace relationships; Coaching Focus: strategies for managing workplace tasks, improving communication with colleagues, and setting professional goals.
Coaching is not a good fit for:
- Individuals experiencing significant anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues
- Children or adolescents with severe behavioral problems at home or school
- Individuals experiencing acute distress, suicidal ideation, or other crisis situations
