Service Description
Provides individuals with disabilities (or those with barriers to employment) with the tools to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment. Counsellors evaluate the goals, values, dreams and employment ambitions of each job seeker and then assist them with work readiness and networking among the local community. Program includes:
- One-on-one support with an employment specialist
- Career counselling, exploration and supports
- Pre-employment workshops and certificates
- Assistance with individualized job searches, resumes, cover letters
- Interview coaching
- On going maintenance for both the employee and employer
- On-site support, job coaching
- Community referrals and client advocacy
- School and community transitions
- Job Search Resource Centre.
NOTE: Program offers assistance to employers who wish to employ individuals by helping them connect and recruit employees for hard to fill or customized positions. Call 306-682-1455 for more information.
