Service Description
Provides support to immigrants and refugees, offering information, orientation to life in Canada, referrals to community services, assistance with housing and accommodation, and connections to community, cultural, and faith-based groups. Services include:
- Initial needs assessment
- Goal setting
- Information and orientation on life skills, transportation, housing, employment, education, financial matters, and other essential topics
- Referrals to language classes, government and community services, ECNWC programs, and other service providers
- Interpretation
- Solution focused counseling, support, and orientation
- Connection to cultural, sports, and leisure activities
- Community tour (available in Yorkton only).
Eligibility
Permanent and temporary residents, newly naturalized Canadian citizens and refugees who live within a 150 km radius around Yorkton.
