Service Description
Provides a home where mothers and young children, who are currently in the care of the Ministry of Social Services, can live together. Offers:
- 24 hour in-house support
- A safe environment where moms have the opportunity to bond with their child(ren) up to 24 hours a day in a supervised home
- Parenting skills, counselling and support to help moms heal and create positive change.
Moms work on a personal plan for moving forward. This may include addiction recovery, mental health support, overcoming domestic violence and past trauma, and gaining education or skills. Once the mother is ready to parent on her own, she is relocated into continuum housing in the program to begin transitioning her children fully into her care.
Program is supported by the Government of Canada’s Homelessness Partnering Strategy, The Ministry of Social Services, The City of Saskatoon and Colleen and Wally Mah.
